General update & practicalities in relation to the second interim distribution 7 July >

As trustee, Alltrust continues to work closely with the Receivers to help ensure that any funds recovered are returned to members’ pensions as efficiently as possible.

Second Interim Distribution Process Approved

On 3 July 2026, the Federal Court of Australia heard the Receivers’ Second Interim Distribution Application.

Following the hearing, the Court approved the process that will enable the Receivers, McGrathNicol, to realise assets and make a second interim distribution to beneficiaries.

The Receivers have advised that:

  • A second interim distribution of at least USD $38 million is proposed across affected beneficiaries.
  • The distribution amount could increase, subject to further Court approval.
  • The asset liquidation process is expected to begin in late July or early August 2026.
  • Distribution payments are expected to be made during August and September 2026.

This marks a further step forward in the ongoing process of recovering and returning funds to affected investors.

Further Court Hearing Scheduled

An additional hearing, known as the Omnibus Hearing, is scheduled for Wednesday 29 July 2026 at 8:30am AWST.

The hearing will consider a number of outstanding matters, including:

  • Australian and US tax issues
  • Claims against client assets
  • Finalisation of beneficiary entitlements

The Receivers have requested that the hearing be broadcast via the Federal Court of Australia’s YouTube channel.

What This Means for Alltrust Members

Where any future distribution payments are made, funds relating to Alltrust members will be paid directly to Alltrust in its capacity as trustee and applied to members’ pensions in the normal way.

Members do not need to provide or update banking details with the Receivers.

Staying Informed

The Receivers continue to publish updates, court orders, circulars and frequently asked questions on their dedicated information page: https://www.mcgrathnicol.com/creditors/brite-advisors-pty-ltd

Alltrust recognises the importance of these developments for affected members and will continue to monitor the receivership process closely. We expect to provide a further update following the Omnibus Hearing at the end of July, once additional information becomes available.
